The seminar was hosted and organized by the Sector for Emergency Management of the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia and co-organized with the Danish Emergency Management Agency (DEMA). The seminar represented Serbian contribution to the DPPI SEE Disaster Management Training Programme 2012.
The aim of the seminar was to exchange and share knowledge and experiences regarding open land and forest fires management in the countries of the South Eastern Europe.
Representatives of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia and Slovenia participated in the seminar.
