From the 18-21.09.2018 DPPI SEE member states had to opportunity to participate at this year INSARAG team leaders meeting hosted by the Romanian General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations in collaboration with Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in its capacity as the INSARAG Secretariat. In the period between 24-31.08 rescuers from 9 DPPI SEE member states had the opportunity to train rope rescue techniques in urban areas. The event was organized by the Administration of Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief and supported by DPPI SEE.       Image Gallery

As of July 4, 2018 DPPI SEE is one step closer towards completing the procedures for its legal status. Four DPPI SEE member states Croatia, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia signed the Host Country Agreement in Sarajevo. In the upcoming weeks Albania will be ready to do so after which the national authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina will proceed with final endorsement and ratification. This extraordinary meeting was also used to initiate planning of DPPI SEE activities for 2019 by the Trio Mechanism (Romania, Turkey and Alabnia).

The event was part of this year Republic of Macedonia contribution to the Disaster Management Training Programme  of DPPI SEE and was organized by the Protection and Rescue Directorate of the Republic of Macedonia and the Private Medical Centre Adzi Badem Sistina in Skopje.
